 STEPHAN B. GLEICH

STEPHAN B. GLEICH, the founder of the firm, Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, 1969; degree of Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School 1973, admitted New York Bar, March 1974, United States District Courts for the Eastern District of New York (June 1975), Southern District of New York (July 1975), District of Connecticut (1981); United States Supreme Court (1980); United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit (1981).  Officer and Member of Board of Directors of Mid-Atlantic Abstract Corp., Agent for Westcor Land Title Insurance Company. Mr. Gleich was general counsel to Leigh Realty Co., Inc., a commercial property management firm until starting private practice in 1979.  Mr. Gleich acted as special counsel in the bankruptcy proceedings of two major New York City restaurants.  Mr. Gleich has experience in all facets of transactional practice and related litigation.  In 2005, Mr. Gleich obtained a jury verdict in excess of $1,600,000.00 against a local municipality in a landmark zoning case.

LAWRENCE W. FARKAS

Partner 

LAWRENCE W. FARKAS, is the managing partner of the firm. Mr. Farkas graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1985.  He received his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 1988 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in February 1989, the Eastern District of New York in December 1990, the Southern District of New York in December 1990.  Mr. Farkas has been associated with Gleich, Farkas and Emouna and its predecessors, Gleich, Siegel & Farkas, Stephan B. Gleich & Associates and Baron & Gleich since 1986.  Mr. Farkas has experience in all aspects of the firm's practice areas.

LARA P. EMOUNA

Partner 

LARA P. EMOUNA, partner of the firm, graduated Magna Cum Laude and with Departmental Honors from the University of California, Los Angeles, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with concentrations in Computing and in Business and Administration. Lara received her Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California School of Law. She completed an internship at the United States Small Business Administration and an externship for the Honorable Robert W. Alberts of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California. After practicing both real estate and general business transactional and related litigation in California, Lara moved to New York and continues to practice in these areas plus commercial leasing, probate and administration, and estate litigation. Lara is admitted to practice in the States of California and New York in both the state and federal courts of each state and has been with the firm since July 1998.

GABRIEL A. LEVENTHAL

GABRIEL A. LEVENTHAL, an associate with the firm, graduated Cum Laude from Queens College of the City University of New York in 1997, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While in undergraduate school, Mr. Leventhal was on the Presidential Achiever’s Honor Roll, the Dean’s List, and was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. Mr. Leventhal received his Masters of Arts degree in Political Management from the Graduate school of Political Management of the George Washington University in 1997, where he was awarded a University Fellow. Mr. Leventhal received his Juris Doctor degree from the Hofstra University School of Law in 2001 where he graduated “with distinction”. Mr. Leventhal was previously an associate at Gleich, Siegel & Farkas from June 2002 though November 2005, concentrating in commercial landlord and tenant law. After practicing real estate transactional law at another firm on Long Island for two years, Mr. Leventhal rejoined Gleich, Siegel & Farkas (n/k/a Gleich, Farkas & Emouna LLP) in October 2007, where he concentrates his practice in commercial landlord-tenant litigation, as well as real estate transactional law. Mr. Leventhal is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
